Rabbi Chaim Rapoport

Spiritual Counsel

Rabbi Chaim Rapoport is the dean of Machon Mayim Chaim and an internationally renowned author, educator, lecturer and Judaic scholar. He lectures in London and around the world on topics pertaining to Jewish life and law and is the author of several books and articles.

Rabbi Rapoport speaks English, Hebrew, and Yiddish. In 2004, his groundbreaking book 'Judaism and Homosexuality' was published, and he has been advising families in this space for over twenty years.


Rabbi Rapoport served as the advisor on Jewish Medical Ethics in Chief Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks' (Z"TL) cabinet. In his rabbinic career, Rabbi Rapoport headed pulpits in Birmingham and London, and helmed the Birmingham Rabbinic Board as chairman from 1994-1997. He is currently the dean of the Rabbinic Training Academy in London.
