Our Goals
At Kesher we want to help families stay connected to each other - parent to child, sibling to sibling, and grandparent to grandchild - by providing support and guidance for family members of individuals who identify as LGBTQ+ in the Orthodox Jewish community
Dr. David Pelcovitz
"I have seen how the warmth, compassion, and knowledge provided by the Kesher Families team serves as a roadmap for the families that instills a sense of hope, connection and healing."
A Parent
"Kesher is a safe space for families navigating the frum world with a child who is LGBTQ+. They provided tools to pave our own unique derech."
Dr. Norman Blumenthal
"Kesher Families is a bold and timely initiative providing immeasurable support and information to families in the throes some of the most confounding and vexing issues of our times."
Mission & Vision
At Kesher Families, we envision a future where our LGBTQ+ family members can stay a valued
part of our families and communities and retain their connection to Hashem and their faith.
Our mission is to provide support and guidance to families, within the Orthodox Jewish community, who have
loved ones that identify as LGBTQ+ in order to preserve these essential familial relationships. We rely on
the collective wisdom gleaned from serving and supporting our families to educate rabbis, professionals,
communities, lay leaders, schools, and organizations who interact with the LGBTQ+ population and their loved ones.
